Group 1 - meet at 10:15am at Hull Park off of Hannah Avenue (660 Hannah Avenue).  Start riding at 10:30am at your preferred pace towards Acme (about 6 miles out).  Once you return to Hull Park, you can ride the Boardman Lake Trail which is about 4 miles long.  Afterwards, meet at The Filling Station for lunch.  We will probably be sitting outside, so bring a warm jacket.  

Group 2 – meet at 10:00am at the VASA Trailhead Parking area off of Bartlett Road in Acme (from Traverse City, take US31 North and turn right onto Bunker Hill Road, follow that up the hill and take a right onto Bartlett Road – there are signs for the VASA Trailhead).  We will start riding at 10:15am after we pass out maps and discuss safety and what to expect.  Riders will need a mountain bike since there are a number of sections with deep, soft sand that road tires can’t handle (at least 2 inch wide mountain bike tires at 50 psi recommended).  The plan is to ride the 10k (6.2 mile trail) and if time permits, we will ride one or two of the 2 mile loops that are connected to the 10k loop.  At the VASA Trailhead parking lot there is a warming hut/building with good bathrooms.  After the ride, we’ll drive back to TC and meet Group 1 for lunch at The Filling Station.
